What's New in Joymount

Child Contact Centre Wed 04 June 2008
Efforts to establish a Carrickfergus Child Contact Centre, Based in Joymount are moving well. The Centre will provide an opportunity for children to meet with a non-resident parent in a safe, friendly and neutral environment. The Management Committee would like to recruit another committee member who would be willing to act as Secretary to the Committee (a part-time Co-ordinator will manage the day-to-day running of the Centre).

Manse Fund -Congratulations Sun 06 July 2008
In 1999 Joymount borrowed £236,800 from Presbyterian Mutual Society to build the new Manse and carry out modifications to the Church Halls. This loan was to be paid back over 10 years and the good news is that we have paid back the loan plus interest of £67,735 ONE YEAR EARLY. The Session and Church Committee would like to thank everyone in the congregation who made this possible.
* *
The Manse envelopes will no longer be used and the Committee would ask everyone who supported the Manse Fund to please start, if you do not already, to contribute to the Property Fund. Through lack of contributions to the Property Account over a number of years the Committee have been unable to maintain the Church buildings to the usual high standard and your continued support would enable them to reverse this trend. Jim Bodles (Hon Treasurer)
